Comments: I would like to thank everyone at Butterwick Hydro and kennels for all of the hard work and dedication that they had given to Skye. She was a GSD who had CDRM which made her disabled. Hydro was a great way to exercise her and keep the disease from doing anymore damage. This is the best hydro pool in the North East and the kennels are also tip top. Everyone who we got to know were great. The girls are so dedicated that it makes the whole experience a real pleasure.
For anyone reading this prior to making a decision about using Butterwick please try it, as I can promise you will be happy with the care and understanding shown to both you and your pet.
This is a true professional outfit but with a personal family touch.

We have sent our dogs on holiday to several kennels over the years, but we have never found anywhere as good as Butterwick (I don't know why we've tried!)We bring them down from Durham each time and it is a little off-putting when we arrive and the dogs run off eagerly without a backward glance, but worth it. They always return home in good condition with shiny coats etc. Thank you Mark and Francesca

I was very wary about putting my 4 babies into kennels after their last episode. I came home to one being skin and bones, one fatty and the other totally neurotic about noise, you could understand our reservations, especially with my 4th youngster not having been in kennels before. After visiting Butterwick and Francesca, I had no doubt that we were on the same wavelength. I was away for 3 weeks and whilst away had email contact for updates. I came home to 4 well adjusted and happy pooches, much to my delight. I cannot thank Butterwick enough for their efforts in making my babies' stay an enjoyable holiday for them. Credit to Mark, Francesca and the girls (how Francesca did it whilst having a baby during that time too, I don't know!!). I have recommended this kennel to all I know in my doggie circles. Superb and see you again soon!

Heidi, my cat was looked after very well and I would recommend Butterwick kennels to any cat owner who is worried about leaving their pet. Francesca is a delight to talk to and clearly loves all the animals in her care. I think that more information about the cattery should be made as most of the emphasis and information is on the dog kennels.
