Here at Butterwick we can accommodate all breeds, shapes and sizes of dogs. We have 36 individual and 18 family rooms so should you be as crazy about dogs as we are, your family can stay together. All are spacious with their own individual access to an undercover outside area great for sunbathing in and all surrounded by open countryside.

They are heated, kept to an extremely high standard of hygiene and exceed the model license conditions (all boarding kennels have to comply to these). We exercise all our residents individually (unless part of a family) three times daily in our secure dog run so they can get out and about for a good sniff and explore. The exercise is fully supervised and we always love to play with them and their toys.

We try as best we can to fit into your routine at home be that walks,treats and feeding times so that there is as little disruption to your best friend as possible. However we might try to sneak a few cuddles in here and there if that’s ok. Why not consider treating your best friend to a bath and brush up give that bow wow factor. They probably want to look their best for you too when it’s home time.

We can provide all bedding necessary for your dog, but of course it’s sometimes nice to have a smell of home so a t shirt or blanket to ease them is is great.

Toy’s are always welcome especially their favourite’s as they come in handy for playtime, but if you forget then we have many different one for them to choose from!!

We do ask that owners ensure that their dog(s) are fully vaccinated including kennel cough and that these are two and four weeks old respectively as a minimum. Vaccination certificates should be brought with you prior to their dog’s holiday. We regret that without these we are unable to board your dog.

Our staff are animal first aid qualified, most medications can be administered on your behalf during their stay even injections at no extra cost. In the very rare and unfortunate event of a dog becoming ill whilst staying at Butterwick we will call your vet as after all they know your dog and have your dogs medical history. Our insurance will normally cover any vets bill.

We have in stock all the major brands of dog food including James Well beloved, Bakers, Eukanuba and Chappie to name but a few, but if your dog is on a special veterinary diet please inform us when making your booking. We usually feed once or twice a day depending upon your dog’s normal routine and can follow your specific instructions where needed. We even have those doggy essentials in case you have run out at home from dog food and treats to the occasional toy.

Then at bedtime they are tucked in sung and warm with a treat or two.

It is helpful if you could write us a little piece on your pooch to ensure we get to know them, their likes and dislikes and get them settled in as quickly as possible.

Our kennels are manned 24 hours a day and are fully alarmed so in the unlikely event of something happening were on hand to deal with it straight away.
