Butterwick Boarding Kennels & Cattery is set in an idyllic rural setting just one minute from the A689 east of Sedgefield. The owners Mark & Francesca haven’t always owned boarding kennels so they fully understand that your pet is a very special member of your family, and requires love, care and attention.
Mark & Francesca bought the business in the spring of 2004, after a long search to find the right kennels & cattery business. The decision to buy the business came from a genuine love of animals and a desire to do a job they both enjoy. They have always been involved with dogs and cats and they readily admit they’ve been bitten by the bug of being owned by their 4 dogs and cat. As pet owners, Mark & Francesca understand what an anxious time it can be to have to leave your cat or dog in the trust of a stranger. For this reason you are very welcome to look around the premises before you decide to leave your pet at Butterwick. They have an open door policy within opening hours and as such do not ask you to make an appointment as they feel it’s important for you to get a TRUE feeling of how all the staff work and care for animals.
They have already made major improvements at Butterwick, including the installation of a purpose built hydrotherapy centre for dogs (see hydrotherapy). They have embarked upon their next project of building a purpose built new kennels & cattery to give your best friend the very best. Lets face it they deserve it don’t they.
